Summer Happenings
Jun 28, 2012
Anne and I had a wonderful time in Nashville helping with Allison Speer's "Elijah Conference." This 4-day workshop is intended to assist those artists on the road in improving their communication skills, building a ministry and other aspects of being a gospel singer. There were about 25 artists there and it was a great time of learning and encouragement. We're already looking forward to next year!
Daniel J. Mount over at www.SouthernGospelBlog.com recently reviewed our "Convention Hallelujahs!" shape-note songbook. It was first released almost 10 years ago and is now in its fourth printing! You can read the review here: http://www.southerngospelblog.com/archives/15642.
On Friday, August 24th, the historic Chuck Wagon Gang will be performing a benefit concert for the Midwest Food Bank at Five Points in Washington! They'll be joined by local group Deer Fry International. It'll be an awesome night of southern gospel music. Tickets are available at Hoerr's Berean Bookstores, through the local Midwest Food Bank offices and through our website. Click here to buy tickets.
We're already receiving calls for our "Harvest of Thanks" dinner concert on Friday, October 19th at Metamora Fields Golf Club. TIckets won't go on sale until September 4th, but go ahead and mark your calendars now!
Have a wonderful summer!
